I thought I'd share something with you from the woollen vault again!

This spooky sweet pea [...] was first made as a prize for a Halloween treasure hunt for my family.

The inspiration for this little darling came when my mum saw a picture in a pattern book... of a pair of crocheted slippers that had been made fluffy... “That would look good on a squirrel’s tail” she said. And I simply had to test her theory!

…11 years in the making!

Some time around 2013, I started making granny squares out of all my variegated yarns… I wondered “Now what am I supposed to do with all these squares??” So I decided I would make a blanket out of them.

For my mum’s birthday last month, we decided to give the day a ‘Space/Sci-Fi’ theme. Along that vein, I wanted to crochet something from Star Wars.

My nan got me a book of flower crochet patterns... I thought I’d use that book to make her a wreath of some of her favourite flowers!

A few months ago, when looking through my teddy boxes, I found this little fellow…So I thought I’d crochet him some new warm accessories!

This year I took it upon myself to plan a treasure hunt for my family. The grand prize, of course, includes some spooky-themed chocolate treats, but I just had to add a little something extra…

I am proud to present my first Christmas pattern!

One day, when my sister was feeling ill, I decided I wanted to make her something to help her feel better. Dinosaurs are her favourite thing in the world, so I thought I’d make her an apatosaurus.

This little fellow was first made as a Halloween treat for my dad. He was delivered in a little cauldron with Halloween chocolates underneath. Next to him were two more similar cauldrons, each with a different Halloween-y animal, for the rest of my family.

Of course, my first pattern on here had to be the little guy on my logo!

When I was eight years old, my mum sat down with my sister and me, gave us each a crochet hook that had once belonged to her grandmother and taught us how to make what I later found out was a granny square.

If she’d only known what she’d started.
