New Pattern: Meet Mea and Kala the Koalas!

“Mea (pronounced MAY-uh) is an easy-going marsupial, fond of long naps, long hugs and eucalyptus-flavoured baked goods. Originally from the forests of eastern Australia, he never quite got accustomed to British weather, and can usually be seen wearing his cosy blue jumper. His friend Kala, on the other hand, likes the weather just fine, and prefers a more natural look.”

Of course, my first pattern on here had to be the little guy on my logo! As well as being my first online pattern, it also includes my first design of an item of clothing in Mea’s blue jumper. I hope to make more patterns with clothes in future - maybe a set of dolls?

Use this pattern to make a koala bear of your very own! The pattern is adaptable, so you can make a koala that is sitting or standing, wearing a jumper or no jumper, with open or closed eyes! I intend to make lots more amigurumi animals in the future, so keep an eye out for those!
