Rebel Starfighter Pilot (from Star Wars)

May the Fourth be with you!

For my mum’s birthday last month, we decided to give her special day a ‘Space/Sci-Fi’ theme. Along that vein, I wanted to crochet something from one of her favourite movie franchises, Star Wars. I remembered my mum saying that, when she was younger (and perhaps a little still!), she wanted to be a starfighter pilot when she grew up. So I thought, what better gift to make her than her as a starfighter pilot?

Did I mention you can take the helmet off? 😊

The head and body of the doll were adapted from the Hero pattern in Crocheted Finger Puppets by Gina Alton, and the hair was adapted from the Mermaid pattern in the same book. The rest I made up myself.
