Mini Hot Cross Buns (from Easter 2021)
I haven’t done much Easter-related crochet this year (apart from my Fillable Easter Eggs), so I’ve dipped into the woollen vault to share with you this crochet project from Easter past!
In the Spring of 2021, when Covid restrictions were still in place, my family were getting all of our groceries from deliveries rather than going to the shops. My mum, for whom hot cross buns are a staple for Easter, was dismayed to find that no one who did deliveries had any in stock!
So, rather than see her go without them completely, I thought I’d crochet some mini hot cross buns for her and presented them to her on a little plate, like you see in these pictures. I’m pleased to say, she was delighted with them, and she still puts them out as Easter decorations every year.
Want me to make a pattern for these? Let me know in the comments or get in touch using the socials at the top of the page.
Happy Easter from Koalamea Crafts!
