Fillable Easter Eggs

These simple two-part eggs make delightful decorations, as well as vessels for small Easter goodies! They can also be a fun addition to indoor Easter egg hunts – hide them around the house for your family to find!

For this pattern you will need:

  • 10g DK yarn in your choice of colour(s)

  • 3.5 mm crochet hook (UK 9, US E/4)

  • Small amount of stuffing

  • Around 25cm x 25cm cling film (optional – recommended if filling your eggs with edible treats)

  • Darning needle

  • Small button, about 12 mm diameter (optional – this pattern includes instructions for a crochet button)

  • Sewing needle for sewing on the button (optional)

  • Any crochet hook smaller than 3.5 mm to weave in loose ends

  • Stitch markers to keep track of the end of your most recent round

  • Something fun to put inside your eggs!

Size: about 7 cm wide and 10 cm long.

Difficulty: one mildly complex stitch (crab stitch), little bit of sewing.
