Crocheted Christmas Presents 2023
I mentioned in my very first blog post that I like to take times of giving gifts as an opportunity to crochet, and this Christmas was no different. Had to post about them on Boxing Day, though, else the family might see!
The patterns I used for each of these:
Purple and green flower bookmark: Bookmark by Emmi Hai - for my grandma who loves to read.
Green monkey: Monkey from Crocheted Finger Puppets by Gina Alton (adapted to be a soft toy rather than a finger puppet) - for my nan who likes green and monkeys.
Pink and black necklace beads: my own pattern, Net Effect Baubles (adapted by making it smaller and using metallic thread instead of DK yarn) - for my cousin who likes jewellery.
Yellow and red poppies: Mohnblume - Poppy by Vera Matrebo (sewn onto hair clips so they can attach to things) - for my sister and aunt respectively, who both like flowers, crafts and pretty bright colours.
Blue boat: Boat and Sailboat by Tatiana Saienko (with alphabet beads added by pushing them into gaps in the crochet and sewing into place) - for my uncle who is enthusiastic about sailboats.
Tree of Life hanging: Tree of Life Circle by Farrah Hodgson - for my mum who is pretty sure trees are better than people.
Pig in a blanket: Pig In A Granny Square Blanket by A Good Right Hook - for my dad who likes pigs and a bad good dad joke.
Whether you celebrate, however you celebrate, a Happy Holidays from Koalamea Crafts!
