New Pattern: Meet Ava the Apatosaurus!
“Ava is an independent little dinosaur who loves nothing more than going on a thrilling adventure! She first hatched in western Laurasia (now North America) in the late Jurassic period, so she isn’t entirely sure how she got to present day Britain, but she is excited to explore her new surroundings!”
One day, when my sister was feeling ill, I decided I wanted to make her something to help her feel better. Dinosaurs are her favourite thing in the world, so I thought I’d make her an apatosaurus. I looked online for a pattern but none of them seemed quite right, so I thought I’d make my own. In the time it took me to watch an online university lecture, I had whipped up a little blue sauropod, and presented him to my sister on a plate with a single Jaffa Cake. She was utterly thrilled! Ava, I suppose, is the cousin of that original dinosaur, with the addition of safety eyes and a flashy pink colour (though no one really knows what colour dinosaurs were so yours can be any colour you like!)
Make your own apatosaurus with this pattern! I’m also thinking of working on some other kinds of dinosaurs, making a whole ‘Mesozoic’ range, so stay tuned for those!
