Ollie is an inquisitive young bird from the forests of England. He just loves to read (fiction or non-fiction) and, though it can get him into trouble sometimes, he is always hungry for knowledge – and crickets!

For this pattern you will need:

  • 5g mid brown DK yarn

  • Around 170 cm light brown DK yarn

  • Around 140 cm orange DK yarn

  • 3.5 mm crochet hook (UK 9, US E/4)

  • 10 mm safety eyes

  • Stuffing

  • Darning needle

  • Any crochet hook smaller than 3.5 mm to weave in loose ends

  • Stitch marker to keep track of the end of your most recent round (optional)

Size: about 8 cm tall (up to top of head) and 5 cm wide (shoulder to shoulder).

Difficulty: no complex stitches, some fiddly sewing.
